April Locklear Oxendine has been educating individuals about different health issues as long as she can remember.  April worked in the field of HIV/AIDS for 15 years and decided to expand her horizons with other health issues beyond HIV/AIDS.  God is leading April in the area of abstinence education and she has started a ministry called “Jehovah’s Gift” ministering to individuals about remaining sexual pure until marriage. 

April is a graduate of UNC-Pembroke and East Carolina University.  She currently works at UNC-Pembroke as a Prevention Educator.  April lives by the motto of “Reach One, Teach One and That One Will Teach Another.”
